Is Honk: Promises a tracking app?
No. Promises are schedule-based check-ins you fulfill yourself. Monitors are alerted on a miss or duress — not your live location on a map.
What is a Monitor?
A trusted friend or family member you choose for a specific Promise. They acknowledge they're watching before the Promise is fully active.
What's the difference between Recurring and Quick Promises?
Recurring Promises repeat on days and times you set — daily routines like getting home safe. Quick Promises cover a one-time window — a walk, a date, a trip leg.
What happens if I miss a check-in?
Your Monitors get reminders, then stronger alarm notifications until they acknowledge. You can often still fulfill after a miss, depending on the Promise state.
What does Safety Key do?
It's your secret emoji-and-sound combo for checking in. Enter the correct key to fulfill. Enter the wrong key under pressure to silently alert your Monitors while your phone shows success.
Is this an emergency service?
No. Honk: Promises supports accountability between people who trust each other. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
Does it cost money?
Creating and fulfilling Promises is free. Promise Plus expands how many Promises you can monitor for others.
Can I download it now?
